Here are some happenings in Pittsburgh this weekend.

Juneteenth

WPA Juneteenth Pittsburgh-Allegheny Co. Freedom Days are Friday through Sunday at Point State Park. There will be food, vendors, and activities for children and live music.

At 8 p.m. on Saturday, legendary hip-hop artist Rakimwill perform on the main stage. Other performers include the Sankofa Dance & Drum Team during the opening of the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and the Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The three-day event is part of the Juneteenth & Black Music Festival which runs through June 27.

Alumni Theatre Company

On Saturday, Alumni Theater Company will perform a dance, song and spoken word performances in honor of Juneteeth at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Oakland. Disc jockey Wade Anthony will be spinning the tunes. The event is part of “Inside Out,” a summertime of pop-up performances, arts activities and local food vendors in the museum’s central outdoor courtyard.

The theater company operates a year-round program for Black youth in grades 6-12.

Nied’s Hotel Band

The Nied’s Hotel Band will be on stage at from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday at the Nied’s Hotel Amphitheater at 5438 Butler St. in Lawrenceville. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chair.

There will be a $10 cover charge. Bring your own food and drink.

Arcade Comedy Theater

Arcade Comedy Theater presents “Pride Improv with Donatella,” a queer improv jam at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

It will feature short-form improv from performers from around the city. Performers and improvisers participating in the jam receive free admission.

Tickets are $10.

At 9 p.m., there will be a “Not So Straight Comedy Show,” co-produced and hosted by Matty Malloy. It will feature stand-up comedy from Paige Polesnak, Kayleigh Dumas, Peggy Walkush and Joe Esch.

Tickets are $15 per person

Both events are at the Arcade at the Oasis, Downtown.

Night Market

The Night Market returns Saturday in Market Square, Downtown. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. there will be music and food and shopping. A rotation of more than 60 vendors will be selling handmade goods such as crafts, jewelry, fine art, fashion, photography, international items and food.

There will be live musical performances in collaboration with co-presenters such as Driving While Black Records, Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild’s MCG Jazz and Mr. Smalls Theatre, which brings the opening night act featuring Hollyhood, Victor Abendano and Najj Andrea.
