Penn State — and wide receivers coach Marques Hagans — got some massive news Monday night.

Class of 2026 four-star wide receiver Davion Brown committed to the Nittany Lions, he announced on a social media post. From Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Va., Brown is the nation’s 29th-best receiver and his state’s sixth-best player. He’s a top-200 prospect overall, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Brown became Penn State’s third-highest-rated prospect behind only Harrisburg teammates offensive lineman Kevin Brown and running back Messiah Mickens.

Penn State’s recruiting has picked up some serious steam over the past month and a half, with Brown marking the ninth Lions commit since March 25.

He’s the 17th commit overall in a class ranking No. 4 nationally and the third receiver, alongside three-stars Jahsiear Rogers and Lavar Keys. Hagans and James Franklin have worked hard to turn around a negative trend in Penn State’s wide receiver room, starting with this year’s trio of transfers for the 2025 season and extending through the commitment of elite 2027 prospect Khalil Taylor.

Brown has already visited Penn State five times, including most recently for the Blue-White Game, and has an official visit scheduled for the weekend of June 6. He previously announced a top five of Georgia, Duke, Michigan and Syracuse alongside Penn State.

According to MaxPreps, Brown pulled in 42 receptions for 946 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
