Duquesne coach Dru Joyce III added depth to his 2025-26 men’s basketball roster over the weekend when he received a commitment from 6-foot-9 Serbian wing Lazar Milosevic.

He averaged 12.1 points and 4.6 rebounds for OKK Spars Sarajevo, which plays in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Milosevic announced his decision on Instagram, saying “I’m honored to join a program built on discipline, development and a winning mentality.”

Milosevic shot better than 40% from 3-point range this past season.

Duquesne has several players returning in Cam Crawford, Jake DiMichele, David Dixon, Maximus Edwards, Brandon Hall, Jakub Necas and Alex Williams.

DiMichele averaged 10.9 points in seven games and missed most of the season with an injury. Crawford was the team’s third leading scorer with 8.6 ppg. Edwards averaged 8.3 points and started 10 games. Necas started 21 games and averaged 6.0 points and 4.4 rebounds. Dixon contributed 5.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game and started 10 games.

The Dukes also gained four players from the transfer portal in guard Tarence Guinyard (UT Martin), forward John Hugley IV (Xavier), guard Jimmie Williams (South Florida) and center Stef van Bussel (Charleston).

The Dukes lost 11 players to the transfer portal, including leading scorer Tre Dinkins (George Washington).
