Pitt football’s Class of 2026 recruiting weekend continued to produce commitments Saturday.

Three-star defensive back recruit Kentrail Mcrae Jr., three-star wide receiver Jaydon Dunbar, three-star linebacker Isaiah Simmons and three-star Peters Township linebacker Reston Lehman announced their verbal commitments Saturday.

Mcrae (6-2, 170), from Clearwater High School in Florida, chose the Panthers over offers from Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan State, USF and Wake Forest, among others.

As a junior, Mcrae made 44 tackles (28 solo) with two interceptions and eight pass breakups. He also blocked a field goal attempt.

Dunbar (6-5, 180) made 26 catches for 476 yards and seven touchdowns for Thomas County Central High School in Georgia last season.

He picked Pitt over programs such as Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Kansas State, Duke, Arkansas, Cal, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ole Miss and West Virginia. He’s ranked the 51st-best wide receiver in the class by 247sports.com.

Simmons (6-0, 200) is an all-state linebacker for a state championship team in Virginia and also a track standout. He chose the Panthers over schools such as Virginia, Duke, Michigan, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

He’s the 25th-best linebacker recruit in the country, according to 247sports.com.

The Panthers have secured nine verbal commitments this weekend. Six have been revealed so far.

On Friday night, the Panthers received commitments from a pair of WPIAL linemen — Pine-Richland offensive lineman John Curran III and North Allegheny defensive lineman Lincoln Hoke.

Pitt’s 2026 recruiting class also includes quarterback Angelo Renda, wide receivers Demetrice McCray and Dylan Wester, linebacker Marcus Jennings and defensive back Isaac Patterson.
