Apparently many God-loving Christians who voted for President Trump love and respect him. Federal policies aside, when did church and other organizations’ members think it acceptable to mimic Trump by spewing hate, fear and chaos through retribution and retaliation whenever they don’t agree with someone? What messages is Trump sending our youth who learn by example? How would you react if your friends and family copied Trump’s hateful speech and behaviors?

Alone we cannot change much. Together we should demand better from our churches and organizations. Along with fear of retribution, not speaking out indicates acceptance, permission, and a continuation of Trump’s behavior. Perhaps withholding donations to churches and other organizations that do not condemn Trump’s and his sycophants’ attacks will begin to send a message. In Trump’s America, money talks.

If you want to educate yourself about the threat of living under Trump and his cronies, read or listen to J. Michael Luttig, a conservative legal figure. You can find his work at societyfortheruleoflaw.org/judge-luttig-an-indictment-against-tyranny/, kettering.org/j-michael-luttig-on-the-end-of-rule-of-law-in-america/ and youtube.com/watch?v=0CrPgKwHIGI&feature=shared.
