Floor-to-ceiling windows on the 19th floor of the Fairmont Pittsburgh hotel building provide panoramic, stunning scenes of Pittsburgh from a unique vantage point — but they belong to a condominium, not a hotel suite.

“The views are unbelievable,” said Robyn Jones of Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty. “You can literally see inside PNC Park (on the North Shore). Even on a dreary Pittsburgh day, the views are still breathtaking.”

The condo is on the market for $4,250,000.

It’s in a secure building with lots of privacy, Jones said, as several celebrities — no names available — have rented the residence.

A private elevator entrance opens into a foyer with marble tile. The modern open-floor plan includes the kitchen with two islands, high-end appliances, a butler’s pantry off the kitchen and room for plenty of seating in the dining room and living room.

“It has an expansive area to entertain,” Jones said.

One of the coolest features, Jones said, is the technology to open and close blinds, control lights, operate the double-sided glass fireplaces and regulate the thermostat, and security features via the Crestron whole-home system.

With the touch of a button, a large screen television slowly emerges from the ceiling so as not to block the view when it’s not in use.

There are three large bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms. Built in 2010, it has a home office, private gym and three assigned parking spaces. The condominium encompasses 6,000 square feet.

Residents have access to the Pittsburgh Fairmont hotel’s amenities, including a fitness center, spa services, concierge and valet.

A walk-in closet, hardwood floors and a wine bar enhance the luxurious vibe.

“It has been a rental,” Jones said. “But the owners are committed to selling it. It is a great place to live full-time or perfect for someone who frequently visits Pittsburgh.”

The condominium is located at 550 Market St., Floor 19, Downtown Pittsburgh.
