Dave Chappelle is bringing his stand-up comedy show to Pittsburgh in June.
Chappelle will play at PPG Paints Arena on June 1.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday with a Live Nation presale, while the general sale starts at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com.
No cellphones, cameras, or recording devices will be allowed at the show. Devices will be locked in Yondr pouches.
Chappelle has drawn controversy in recent years for making jokes aimed at transgender people.
According to CNN, Chappelle has included material that aimed at trans people during his stand-up shows going back to 2017. Jokes about trans people has been included in his Netflix specials, “Sticks and Stones” from 2019 and “The Closer” from 2021. Netflix has supported the specials and Chappelle.
Chappelle’s sketch comedy show ran on Comedy Central for three season from 2003-06.
He was the 2019 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. He has received five Emmy awards, including three for his Netflix comedy specials and two for hosting “Saturday Night Live.”
He currently also hosts the podcast “The Midnight Miracle.”
