A scratch-off ticket winning $1 million was sold in the UPMC Mercy Gift Shop, the Pennsylvania Lottery said Wednesday.

The ticket was for Mining for Millions, a $20 game that offers five top prizes of $1 million. So far, four $1 million prizes remain, according to the state lottery website.

The gift shop within the UPMC hospital will receive $5,000 for selling the winning ticket, a news release said.

“What an exciting day for our lucky UPMC Mercy gift shop visitor…whoever you are! We send our very best wishes and congratulations,” said John Innocenti, president UPMC Mercy.

The Pennsylvania Lottery reminded winners that scratch-off prizes expire one year after the game’s end-sale date is posted at palottery.com. Winners should immediately sign the back of their ticket and call the lottery at 1-800-692-7481.
