A man was burned in a fire at a Wilkinsburg apartment early Tuesday morning.

The fire in the 900 block of Wood Street was reported shortly after 2 a.m., an Allegheny County 911 dispatcher said. It was reported under control just over an hour later, but Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported around 5 a.m. that the fire had reignited.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire back under control, the station reported.

According to Pittsburgh public safety, one man suffered burns and was in critical condition when taken to a hospital by Eastern Ambulance.

Smoke was seen billowing from a window on the top floor of the three-story building, which has businesses on the ground floor.

Ten other residents got out of the building unhurt, according to Pittsburgh public safety. No firefighters were hurt.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal was investigating the cause of the fire.
