It’s time for summer camp once again in Pine.

Camp Pine for children in first through sixth grades kicks off June 9 and runs for 10 weeks through Aug. 15.

The program is held on the Pine Community Center side of the park. Campers will use the splash pad, turf fields, park trails and gazebo, as well as the gym and multipurpose rooms of the center.

“This year, Camp Pine is welcoming over 315 campers — our largest day camp ever offered by the township,” said Tyler Walker, director of Pine’s parks and recreation. “I’m incredibly proud of the dedicated and creative staff team we’ve assembled, along with the wide range of activities that connect campers with local businesses and cultural experiences throughout the region. From visits with Wildlife Bird Recovery, Steel City Gamerz and Mad Science of Pittsburgh to a silent disco and a tour of Acrisure Stadium, this summer is packed with unforgettable fun.”

Added Pine’s recreation program coordinator, Gina Kampi: “I am so excited for Camp Pine to start. I hope to see lots of returning campers, but can’t wait to meet the new campers as well. We have a fantastic camp staff, and we are looking forward to a fun summer.”

While Camp Pine is full and no longer accepting applications, there are several weekly camps being offered that still have spots available.

The specialty summer camps are separate from Camp Pine.

These camps, mostly geared toward ages 6 to 12, take place from 1 to 4 p.m. They feature various themes and prices for residents and nonresidents:
