Boyce Park slopes set to open for skiing, snowboarding

The slopes at Boyce Park will open Friday for the 2024-25 season, Allegheny County announced Thursday.

The slopes, a 20-minute drive from Downtown Pittsburgh, will be open for skiing and snowboarding. The opening of the snow tubing area has been delayed.

The lodge is located at 901 Centerview Drive in Plum.

Regular hours are 3:30 to 9 p.m. weekdays; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 to 9 p.m. Saturdays; and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays.

Weekday lift tickets cost $15 for Allegheny County residents and $19 for noncounty residents. Weekend and holiday lift tickets cost $20 for county residents and $25 for noncounty residents.

Lift tickets are free for children younger than 5.

Rental equipment, including board or skis, boots, poles and helmet, costs $20 for residents and $25 for nonresidents. Lockers are $1.

Tickets and private lessons can be bought online in advance. Rates for private ski and snowboard lessons are $40 for residents, $50 for nonresidents. Group lessons are $25 for residents and $31 for nonresidents. Lessons are one-hour sessions for ages 7 and older.
