Hide and seek
Join the City of Greensburg Recreation Department for a free evening of hide and seek tag from 5-7 p.m. today at Lynch Field, 520 New Alexandria Road. The session is the first in a weekly Community Backyard Games series.
While the activity is geared toward school-aged children from Greensburg and surrounding communities, all ages are welcome to participate — even parents. Preregistration is not required for the drop-in event.
Subsequent sessions include: Red Rover, May 14; Cops and Robbers, May 21; Ships and Sailors, May 28; and Water Balloon Wars, June 4.

Got a hankering for an authentic Philly cheesesteak? Stop by Burky’s Tavern in Greensburg for a hoagie from noon-10 p.m. Saturday and help feed someone else who might be hungry. For every cheesesteak sold during Hoagies for the Homeless, presented by Angelo’s Hoagies, another will be given to someone in need.
The festivities will include drinks, pool, bar games and music by a DJ. The tavern is at 625 W. Otterman St.

Dance festival
The Theatre & Dance Program’s Spring Dance Festival 2021 will include live performances at 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday on the Seton Hill University Campus Quad in Greensburg.
The festival features works by Seton Hill faculty and students, including “To Grieve: What is Felt but not Seen,” choreographed and performed by five students as a collective space for grieving, feeling and healing; “Paquita,” a ballet in two acts and three scenes first presented in 1846 at the Paris Opera Ballet; “Arrived,” created by adjunct professor Jadell Lee and student choreographers/performers as “a dynamic high-energy anthem piece predicated on being the person your dreams demand you to be”; and “I’m Still Standing,” set to a compilation of four Elton John songs and celebrating his life and career.
A limited number of free tickets will be available, first-come, first-served, on site for each performance. Social distancing requirements will be followed.

Food truck roundup
A Bonfire & Brews Food Truck Roundup is set for 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Quinn Brewing Co. at Banco Business Park, 300 Commerce Loop, North Huntingdon.
The event will feature live music by local singer/songwriter and “American Idol” veteran Aubrey Burchell, whose latest release, “Nothin’ on Me,” features beats and music by Nigel Seibert.
A $2 suggested donation at the gate will benefit The Lamp Theatre in Irwin.

Season’s first sale
Is mom a history buff? Let her pick her own Mother’s Day gift from among quality antiques, folk art, historical crafts, reproductions and collectibles at the season’s first Antiques & Collectibles Sale from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at Historic Hanna’s Town, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield.
The sale is held, rain or shine, on the second Sunday of the month through October. Admission is $3 per car, with proceeds benefiting preservation efforts at the historical site.
