The Western Allegheny Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society will holds its 29th annual Conservation and Sportsmen’s Banquet on Jan. 31 at Rizzo’s Malabar Inn, Crabtree.

The banquet, which begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., is a fundraiser for the Ruffed Grouse Society and its efforts to enhance ruffed grouse and American woodcock habitat in North America.

The evening will feature a live and silent auction, games, drawings and door prizes, along with a selection of firearms, artwork and collectibles.

Individual membership and dinner tickets are $80. A membership and spouse package with two dinners is $150, and a junior membership and dinner ticket (17 and under) is available for $50.

Banquet, Conservation, Sustaining and Gold sponsorship packages also are available for $325, $625, $1,250 and $2,500 respectively.

The Ruffed Grouse Society, headquartered in Coraopolis, has participated in the restoration or improvement of 500,000 acres of grouse and woodcock habitat and hunting lands, according to its website.
