Get ready — the Fourth of July weekend is arriving with holiday hours and service shakeups in tow.

All City of Pittsburgh offices will be closed on Friday with normal operations set to resume on Monday.

Trash, recycling and bulk waste collection services will be delayed by a day. Pittsburgh residents with regularly scheduled collections on Friday should instead plan to put waste out for pickup on Saturday.

The following changes will be in effect for CitiParks facilities for July 4 and 5:

  • Healthy Active Living Centers will be closed Friday, July 4 and will reopen Monday, July 7.
  • Recreation Centers will be closed Friday, July 4 through Saturday, July 5.
  • Mellon Park Tennis Center will be closed Friday, July 4.
  • Schenley Park Skating Rink will be closed Friday, July 4.
  • Summer Food Service Program will be closed Friday, July 4.
  • Northside Farmers Market will be closed Friday, July 4.

Facilities that will be open on Friday include the spray parks and swimming pools.

The following pools will operate on holiday hours:

  • Ammon, Bloomfield, Highland, Jack Stack, Magee, Moore, Ormsby, Phillips, Ream, Banksville, West Penn, Riverview, Schenley and Westwood pools will be open from 12 to 1 p.m. for adult lap swim — except Schenley Park Pool, which will skip lap swim due to capacity limits. Open swim will follow at all locations from 1 to 5:45 p.m.
  • McBride and Sue Murray Pools will be open from 12 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. for open swim.
