You reported, when discussing Congress’ reluctance to challenge President Trump on almost anything, that “… a compliant Congress is ceding more and more of its prerogative to the presidency” (“Trump’s approval motivates Congress,” July 20). That critique of the interaction between Congress and the president reminds me of the quote typically attributed to the British philosopher Edmund Burke (circa 1729-97): “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
