Murrysville and Bushy Run will square off for the fifth time this season, this time for the Pennsylvania American Legion Region 7 tournament title at Claysburg.

And no matter what happens, both teams will be joining Region 6 champion Belle Vernon in the State Tournament Saturday at North Allegheny High School. Murrysville is play hosting to the tournament and receives and automatic berth.

Murrysville defeated host Claysburg, 7-0, avenging a 5-4 loss on Saturday, while Bushy Run defeated Bedford, 9-0.

Murrysville and Bushy Run will meet at 12:40 p.m.

Marko Rudek allowed one hit over 6 13 innings. Christian Dunn got the final two outs.

Max Bernadowski, Cole Brinker, Nolan Boehm and Erik Streussnig had two hits Murrysville. Blake Bertucci and Boehm had doubles and Brinker had a triple.

Aidan Simpson doubled for Claysburg. Mason Byler took the loss.

Junior Legion Western Regional — Trafford captured the title by defeating Indiana’s S.W. Jack, 10-8. Both teams advance to the state tournament.

Monroeville advanced to the Junior American Legion state tournament on Saturday at Homer City by defeating Titusville, 9-7.

West Point Little League —

The West Point 10U boys are 1-1 in the Pennsylvania Little League State tournament at Back Mountain Little League in Dallas.

West Point defeated Ashland, 13-3, on Monday, but dropped an 11-6 decision to Ridley on Tuesday.

West Point won the District 26 title by defeating Latrobe and Ingomar. They continued on to Sections at Bullskin and won the Section 2 title beating Hermitage and Somerset.

The 11U baseball team won the District 26 title by beating Latrobe in a best-of-three series. They advanced to sections and were eliminated by Hermitage.

The 12U baseball team won the District 26 championship by defeating Ingomar, Quaker Valley, Shaler and West Allegheny.

They moved on to the Section 2 at Bullskin and defeated Hermitage and Somerset to win the championship.

They open the states 11 a.m. Wednesday against Tri-Town at Newville.

The 11U softball team was awarded the District 26 title won the Section 2 championship at Bullskin.

They will advance to the 11U state championship hosted by Fairchance LL and will open the tournament on Friday against Snyder County at 11:00 a.m.

The 12U team will face Brunswick, Md., Wednesday at the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bristol, Conn.

West Point defeated New York, 6-0, on Monday.
