Led by presumptive first-round picks Adbul Carter and Tyler Warren, Penn State had five players receive invitations to the annual NFL Scouting Combine, which will be held later this month in Indianapolis.

Carter, a 6-foot-3, 252-pound defensive end, is viewed as one of the top players in the entire draft and he is expected to be among the top five players taken in the NFL Draft in April. Warren, a record-setting tight end, also is considered a first-round pick.

Other Penn State players receiving invitations for the combine are linebacker Kobe King and defensive backs Jaylen Reed and Kevin Winston Jr.

Pitt will have four players in attendance: wide receiver Konata Mumpfield, tight end Gavin Bartholomew, offensive lineman Branson Taylor and kicker Ben Sauls. Taylor was lost to a season-ending knee injury in October. Safety Donovan McMillon, who participated in the Hula Bowl and East-West Shrine game all-star events, did not get an invitation.

West Virginia will have two representatives: offensive lineman Wyatt Milum and defensive lineman Sean Martin. Milum participated in the Senior Bowl.

The combine committee sent out 329 invitations this year. The event will be held from Feb. 24-March 3 with workouts taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium from Feb 27-March 2.
