While it probably won’t be cause for great celebration, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds did go on the road Tuesday night and keep their season-opening unbeaten streak alive.

Despite outshooting FC Tulsa 18-7, the Riverhounds settled for a scoreless draw to run their record to 1-0-3 for the season.

Albert Dikwa nearly gave the Riverhounds the lead in a pivotal moment in the game in the 16th minute. Dikwa and Tulsa goalkeeper Michael Nelson arrived at a long ball from Arturo Ordonez at the same time, and as a violent collision occured, Dikwa connected on a header for an apparent goal.

Referee Melvis Rivas waved the goal off and gave Dikwa a yellow card. Nelson left the game and did not return.

Tulsa’s Moses Dyer had a goal waved off in the second half on an offside call.

Jahmali Waite, who played for Jamaica in a 2-2 draw against Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League on Sunday, made one save to earn his first shutout of the season for the Riverhounds.

The Hounds will be off until visiting Colorado Springs on Saturday, April 8.
